Impedeance/SWR

 

We did some tests on the ground by measuring with an antenna analyzer (RigExpert) on the main radiator. We measured a good swr dip a little lower than the 20m band. For the 15 and 10m bands also a good dip was measured, so that was promising. After that we looked at the effect of keeping the reflector and director also above the ground. The effect was obvious so the general idea was,.,..it works.

 

We build the antenna together on the ground and it was roughly 2 meters above the ground during the first measurements.

We lifted the whole structure to 3m above the ground and measured again to see the effect.

Now we measured the values of the antenna in the air. The height is approximately 7m above local ground.
